About Us

An Experience of God’s Plan for the Family

First Fruits began with a simple yet powerful idea—parents supporting parents. A group of experienced moms and dads joined together with younger parents to create something special: a space to discover God’s plan for the family together.

As parents meet in their small groups, they grow in confidence as they experience the 12 Guiding Principles of Family Life. Each parent finds encouragement, practical wisdom, and lasting friendships. We believe that when families walk together, they become stronger, more joyful, and more deeply rooted in God’s plan.

Our Co-Founders

Kathleen Conklin is the director of First Fruits.  In the past, she was one of the founders and the director of K4J, a virtue program for families.  Kathleen helped gather a group of experienced parents and talented parents of younger children to help create and design the First Fruits experience.  You can meet them in Our Community.

OUR VISION

We dream of strong communities of families who live a vibrant Catholic family life and embrace the universal call to holiness—together.

our mission

We invite parents into small, supportive groups where they can experience the 12 Guiding Principles of Catholic Family Life and awaken the joy of living God’s plan for the family.

These gatherings are more than just meetings—they’re a space for honest conversations, where you can share struggles and celebrate victories, and offer encouragement whether with your spouse or with others in the group when the time feels right. Over time, you’ll build meaningful connections and experience the deep joy of living marriage and family life as God designed, supported by a community that truly understands.

a place for every parent

We recognize that every family looks different, and First Fruits is for everyone—whether married, single, or facing unique challenges. Our single-parent track ensures that those raising children alone find encouragement, community, and faith-filled resources tailored to their journey. You don’t have to do this alone.

Gathering at homes, schools or parishes to discover God's plan for your family will bring much peace.
