Young Catholic Family shares their testimony about First Fruits and how it will bless and transform young families.

Tell us a little about your love story:

Our love story is one of quiet providence, gently guided by God’s hand.

Before we ever met, I had been working in insurance for a few years alongside Ryan’s brother and his best friend, Jamie. Eventually, we all moved on from that job, but the friendships remained. His brother moved to Boston, and life went on quietly—until a night in late March, when everything changed. Ryan’s brother came home to Vermont to celebrate their mother’s birthday, and the three of us met for dinner, as we so often had. By what I can only describe as providence, Ryan joined us that evening.

The moment he walked in, something shifted. And as dinner ended, Ryan and I found ourselves tucked into a quiet booth at a little Irish bar nestled in the Green Mountains. We talked late into the evening, unaware that something sacred was beginning—friendship blossoming into something deeper. A seed was planted.

We were later married in the Church, surrounded by family and friends and the gentle, abiding presence of grace. Our journey began not in haste, but in a slow unfolding—a love story rooted in friendship, nourished by trust, and brought to life by faith. Each time I reflect on how we began, I’m reminded that God’s timing is never rushed, never delayed—only perfect. What began in a quiet moment has become a grace-filled journey, and I trust He is still writing the most beautiful chapters yet.

What inspired you to be part of First Fruits?

When I was asked to produce the videos for First Fruits I felt genuinely honored. The themes may be familiar, but the delivery is fresh, beautiful, and deeply needed. I believe First Fruits has the power to bless and transform young families—and the Church as a whole. That’s why I said yes to producing the videos: it’s an honor to contribute, even in a small way, to something so meaningful.

What’s something you’ve learned—or are learning—about love, marriage, or family life?

I’m learning that it’s less about the grand moments. What matters most is showing up—with patience, humility, and trust—day after day. It’s in the quiet, faithful “yes” to each other and to God that the deepest joy takes root.
